Re: where to find nickel ?

Hello,

I will attach the nickel script here so that you can just save it from here.

And hello Rich,

the Nickel script is a HP written script which collects all system data (LVM, system config, network setup, log files, etc.) and prepares html files so that you can direct your webbrowser to the created index.html file and use the webbrowser to "surf" through the configuration.

Re: where to find nickel ?

Hi Richard,

hope you still read this here :-)

You can just load it to your system.

Here are the options:

Usage:
/opt/contrib/bin/nickel [ -m | -o | -n | -? ]

Options:
-m Email the shar archive to
-o Where to direct the output
-n Don't create shar archive
-? show this Help Menu

The only thing you have to make sure is that you put the output file on a box where it is configured to be read with a webbrowser.

Just play a bit with it and if you have more questions on it... go ahead and ask
