which disk belongs to which SC10?

We have two SC10 on HP 11.00. Each SC10 has 5 disks.
How can I find out which disk belongs to which SC10?

0/4/0/0.1.0 /dev/dsk/c3t1d0
0/4/0/0.2.0 /dev/dsk/c3t2d0
0/4/0/0.8.0 /dev/dsk/c3t8d0
0/4/0/0.9.0 /dev/dsk/c3t9d0
1/10/0/0.0.0 /dev/dsk/c6t0d0
1/10/0/0.1.0 /dev/dsk/c6t1d0
1/10/0/0.2.0 /dev/dsk/c6t2d0

Re: which disk belongs to which SC10?

Find out the SCSI card with which the SC10 are attached. All the disk with /dev/dsk/c3t*d* belong to one SC10 and the remaining with the other. Sometimes on the back of the SCSI cards the path is mentioned. An ioscan will tell you.

i suppose you could also do a dd -if=/dev/dsk/c3t0d0 of=/dev/null bs=2048 and see which disc is being accessed

Re: which disk belongs to which SC10?

Hello!

Check in ioscan on which HW path the SC10 controler on and on this you will see which
disks belong.
You can also add the ioscan output and we will help you.

do an ioscan, check the HW path for the device files, then look on the back of your HP server to see which card corresponds to the HW path.
