Hi

Although no of availble PV is 8, why it shows as below?
Cur PV 9
Act PV 8

Is this a real issue in the server?

How did you replace the disk?

Wrong procedures may cause you have the old AND the new disk in your configuration.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: why Cur PV is larger than Act PV

Hi

I used following procedure to replace disk.

# lvreduce -m 0 -A n /dev/vgshare/lvshare /dev/dsk/c5t3d0

Then physically replaced the disk.

# Ioscan -fnc disk
#vgchange -a y /dev/vgshare
#lvextend -m 1 /dev/vgshare/lvshare /dev/dsk/c5t3d0

That's it.
Is my procedure incorrect ?

Re: why Cur PV is larger than Act PV

There is at least the "vgcfgrestore ..." step missing.

Which disk did you replace?

Please run a "pvdisplay" on it.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
