I recently installed wireshark version 1.1.1 on my 11.11 server.
When I first attempted to run the wireshark -v command, I got the following:
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't find path for shared library: libz.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
Abort(coredump)
I installed zlib and tried to run wireshark -v. Now I get:
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: /usr/local/lib/libgpg-error.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
Abort(coredump)
What now?

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Gtk/Applications/wireshark-1.1.1/
Prior to installing the wireshark depot, I had to install openssl.
Once the openssl package was installed, the wirseshark depot installed without any errors.
How can I tell if all build time and run time dependencies are installed?
I did not install HP-UX Strong Random Number Generator. Is there a depot for that?

there you will find the link for:

Re: wireshark core dumps when running wireshark -v
I also looked at the document you suggested in your last response. I would have to install about 20 other libraries to get this working. Not worth the effort.
Again. Thanks for the help.

Re: wireshark core dumps when running wireshark -v
You don't have to reboot for those 20 shlibs. And you can swcopy the depots into one, then just one swinstall.
