without advanced file system utilities

Hi

I wonder that If there is a way to add a new disk or a volume to an exist advfs domain without addvol command

You cannot create a multi volume domain without advfs utilities.

What you can do is to mount below the current file system, and direct to your programs to write there, or create a symbolic link to the new mount point for this new disk.

Of course, this won't increase the size of the current file system.

an alternative would be to use LSM.

Yeah, if you had created the AdvFS domain with an LSM volume, I guess you could increase the size of that volume using LSM tools. But, I doubt if that is the case here...

You do not specify the type of storage JBOD or SAN-logical units, nor the version of Tru64.... other solutions migth be possible.
