Insight 7.3 Upgrade - Service authentication issues..

Greetings,

 

I am trying to test the upgrade process for Insight Control, using the install DVD and the integrated installer.  Shortly after selecting the components to update (I leave it as default), it asks for a password for the service account.  After putting in the proper password, I simply get an error that the installer is unable to verify service account credentials.

 

I am logged in with the same account used to install SIM/IC and the same account the most of the SIM/IC services run under and verified the password.  SIM works fine otherwise - no issues connecting to the DB or adding/removing items. 

 

Anyone else have this issue?

Any dynamic ports in use on you RDBMS?

Sorry for the late reply - yes I think we do use dynamic ports.  There is a port value displayed on the install screen, where the credentials are entered so I assumed that was the current port.  I am not sure how to tell otherwise
