Installation error on HPSim 7.2

Installation error on HPSim 7.2

Hi there,

I'm a poor unix admin trying to install hpsim on a windows 2008 R2 server.

My unfamiliarity with windows is pretty big unfortunately.

The installation I'm trying to do is from files I copied from the hpsim 7.2 dual layer 1 image.

I have worked throught the prerequisites from the documentation first and now I try to install.

 

Bsically I have 2 problems. The first one is when I run the autorun.exe I end up with a blank window. I don't care too much about this one.

Luckily I found  hpsim/win/setup.exe. When running this, by first right clik and run as administrator, I can fill in all the fields. Using an oracle database that's all connected to. I try to do a normal install (not custom). Filling in all details goes ok.

When I get to the last page where I can click [install] I immeately get an error "Member not found".

 

In the logging I can see this error message :

Install Shell:<DEBUG>onError File not found res://F:\MARK\HPSIM_7.2_installation_windows\mnt\mark\hpsim\win\setup.exe/installshell.htm:1

 

I'll put the complete log at the end.

Question is : what can cause this ? Is some prerequisite software missing of something ?

Re: Installation error on HPSim 7.2

Just download an .exe version o the HPSIM software which installed ok.

 

The iso version I downloaded first and extracted the software from probably had to be used when mounted.

Case closed.
