Running SIM 7.4 trying to discover- fully- DL389 Gen7 running windows 2012 R2. I say discover fully because SIM does actually discover the server however the server is seen as unknown with error message:
Major: The system cannot be identified properly for HP SIM to manage;
unable to get one or more of the following: model, serial number or
unique identifier (UUID). For management processors, verify the
system is running the latest firmware. For Linux based operating
systems, you must have dmidecode installed, enable the
PermitRootLogin and PasswordAuthentication in sshd, and use root
sign-in credential. For HP-UX, verify the sign-in credential. For
Windows, check if WMIMapper is configured correctly on the CMS and
verify the sign-in credential.
SNMP, installed and corrrect, certificate imported, and sign-in credentials are correct
Any ideas

Re: SIM not discovery server fully
Are you using the HPe Snmp agent or wbem providers?
Can you post the whole discovery output?

Solutionok, , figured it out. I actually ran HPSUM on the server again and it required some dependancies in order for other functions to work/discover. Once I installed these dependancies and rebooted the server. I then imported the cert and redisovered again, and it is no longer unknown and all details are there
thanks
