Version Control Agent 2.1.1.720 failed to install

Server OS: W2K
Upgrading from 7.1 to 7.3
----------------------------------------------
Name: Version Control Agent for Windows
New Version: 2.1.1.720

Beginning Silent Session...

The software is not supported for installation on this system.

The HP System Management Homepage Win32 service was not found by the
installer.

Installation will not continue.

The operation was not successful.
----------------------------------------------

In the services the HP System Management Homepage is not installed - although in the VCA it indicated that it is installed? What do I have to do to get the HP System Management Homepage service installed?

Re: Version Control Agent 2.1.1.720 failed to install

Just after figuring it out!!!!

You need to install the service from cp005390.exe and then all works fine. Why it does not install with the upgrade - I have no idea. Does anyone? As I have over 80 servers in the DC that I want to upgrade!!!

Re: Version Control Agent 2.1.1.720 failed to install

Since you are installing the VCA, I am assuming you are using Version Control to deploy software. Just deploy the System Management Homepage component to all your systems using Version Control - it is just another component that can be deployed.
