WBEM Subscriptions from 6.3 fail

I have a SIM 6.3 server running on Win 2K8R2 sp1.  I cannot establish subscriptions from most (of 65) my servers.  I have about 8 that are 'successful'.

I have tried using the Configure menu item and I get weird things.  Cannot establish a non admin account for the connection and most of the time i cannot get the subscription to work.

How does someone validate that a subscription is established?

Daren

I am assuming you are talking about WBEM subscriptions for Windows.

I have attached a guide for this

Re: WBEM Subscriptions from 6.3 fail

Can you give some more detail e.g.. Exact error returned and version of the WBEM providers. Have you tried to create the subscriptions form the command line?

If my post was helpful please award me Kudos! or Points :)

Re: WBEM Subscriptions from 6.3 fail

Daren,

You can verify the WBEM subscription made with HP SIM for a given host by running the following command in a CMD window on the CMS :

mxwbemsub -l -n <host name or IP address>

Re: WBEM Subscriptions from 6.3 fail

 Hi Daren,

Make sure that HP Insight Management WBEM Providers is installed on the server and that they are restarted.

Port 3201,2381 are open on the firewall.

Success,

Peter
