c:\clm.log file...what is it?

Anyone know what c:\clm.log is? I believe it is part of SIM (at least it is on my SIM server). Anyway to move this to a more appropriate location?

P.S. - why do delevelopers continually insist on putting log files and other junk in the root of C: or in other annoying places? :(
And while we are on that subject, why must we have a c:\cpqsystem, c:\compaq, c:\hp, c:\hewlett-packard, c:\program files\hp, c:\program files\hewlett-packard, c:\program files\compaq directories? Can't HP developers just get together and put it all under c:\program files\HP :)

OK - I am done ranting for the month...

That file is created & maintained by a Proliant Essentials, HP Performance Management Pack. I think latest PMP creates that file (or similar file) in their installation folder.

Thanks.

Well not exactly the answer,it come from ISS of microsoft ,not from HP SIM.

It called Trace Logging for the CLM Configuration Wizard

PMP creates this file. Perhaps if the developers would have put this in an appropriate location with a meaningful name, I would not have had to waste my time with this post :)
