howto forward SNMP trap to Omnibus using with different port

Hi,
i have HP SIM 6.0 on MS 2003 Ent. server,
and would like to forward SNMP traps to omnibus server using port 1620.
how can i change the default 162 port while forwarding the snmp traps?

Actually I don't think you need to :-)

When you setup your new action on event task to forward the trap to another trap reciever, you simply indicate the ip Address of the reciever followed by the port value

for instance :
10.0.0.1:1620

Then add the recipient and it should be ok. I went into the guts of HP SIM to find the answer for it doesn't seem to be documented anywhere. The online help does not speicfy this.

Give it a try and tell if it works.

anyone get that working?  we are trying to get the events from sim to omnibus.  we followed the tasks stated here and i do not see events getting to Omnibus.  i performed a grep on the sim server ip and i dont see that ip in the mttrapd.log file.  any suggestions?

I should probably add that we can ping between the omnibus server and sim server.. no firewall in between.  same subnet as well... thank you.
