hp-health fails to start on CentOS 7 with kernel 4.9

hp-health fails to start on CentOS 7 with kernel 4.9

It was running fine with the stock kernel 3.10.

Since updating the kernel, hp-health does not start successfully.

hp-health version 10.50.

Does anyone have an idea why or where I should start looking for the problem?

I have the same problem now. I just updated today our scientific linux 7.3 system and now the hp-health service does not start. Im still on the current 3.10.0 kernel
