# /sbin/init.d/hpsmhd start hangs
I just installed Insight 360 on our test tru64 server. It was working but after restarting the service through the browser I cannot login. When we start the services on the os one service cannot start:
# /sbin/init.d/hpsmhd start
Connected to 127.0.0.1:2301....
# /sbin/init.d/hpsmhd start

Re: # /sbin/init.d/hpsmhd start hangs
Hi !
The problem is caused by a hanging [hpsmhd] process that blocks port 2301.
I had to kill -9 this process to be able to restart the hpsmhd.
Unfortunately, the next time I try to login, it hangs again.
Did you (or someone else) find a cure for the problem ?
Best regards,
Michael
