SureStore Tape 2000

Can I install a HP SureStore Tape 2000 (model C1525G) on a Windows ME machine? If so, can someone give me some tips before I get started trying? Thanks.

Re: SureStore Tape 2000

Hi Curt,
There is no reason why the 2000 should not work in ME as long as you have the appropriate SCSI controller. My question is why would you want something so old (slow speed/little capacity/hard-to-find media). You could get the same capacity out of 2 CD's and a burner and the cost per megabyte for media is way cheaper

Dear Curt,

You will need a tape backup application. Tapeware from Yosemite Technologies would do the job well. You can donload a trial copy from their website. Windows 98/ME has no built in backup.

Curt,
This is not a solution for your SureStore 2000 problem.
I was wondering if you had any documentation such as a book or manuel that you could scan and e-mail to me.
