15/30 DLT not recognized by NTBackup

Always been using Arcserve IT 6.6 and no problem. Trying to use NTbackup to backup Exchange 5.5 sp3. Get error message from NTbackup: Tape drive is not recognized and not power up, check connection blah blah blah. Checked the tape, readable on other drive, the drive have no prob either. Do I need a seperate driver for both arcservIT and NTbackup? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
