280349-001 AIT 35gb Autoloader and RedHat

Hey all,

Looking to purchase a 280349-001 AIT 35gb autoloader but want to use it with RedHat or possibly SUSE Linux. Can either of these operating systems control the drive and changer from the command line without CA ARCServe or other commercial product?
