4048 tape library Issue

4048 tape library Issue

I have hp msl 4048 tape library ,my problem is when i use a backup exec software to associate a media (tape) to a aspecific media set  i found the day after that this media is changed to another media set automatically without any entervention from me so i want a reason for this

Hi,

 

Do you have some more details ? What OS is it connected to, what tests have you done, what level of Backup Exec installed ?

 

Without that there is little we can comment on other than:

"  ..if this is connected to a Windows server machine: Disable Removable Storage Manager Service."
