8200i CDRW and DLA
I moved my 8200i from an old NT box to a newer Win2000 box. Downloaded and installed DLA from hp.com. When I right-click and quick-format (the only option) it formats in 3 seconds (that's great), but the CD-R only has 580 MB free. When I right-click for Properties on the CD, it shows 77 MB are already in use. Why not the whole 655 MB available?
Please and thank you for your time.

Re: 8200i CDRW and DLA
It doesn't sound like the format worked as expected. What kind of cd writer software do you have available to test other things with?

Re: 8200i CDRW and DLA
Thanks for replying Harry. I lost the OEM CD (drivers / software) so I looked on hp.com and grabbed this thing called DLA. I'm not partial to it (willing to try other drivers), but couldn't find anything else on hp.com. Can you recommend? You 'da man.

Re: 8200i CDRW and DLA
I downloaded software called "HP RecordNow." What a great product. That works great with Win2000. Nice, clean interface and creates .ISO files right nice.
