Arcserve and DLT 40/80

If I install Arcserve 2000 on my DL380 G2 NT (SP6A) box I can see my DLT 40/80 and do backups etc etc.
But as soon as I install SP4 for Arcserve the DLT 40/80 'disappears' in Arcserve.
Can anybody help me please or point me in the right direction.
Thanks guys.

Under arcserve device configuration have you see any dlt drive from available decices box? If not and if its ok for you, kindly reinstall both software and update pack of arcserve from your system.Make sure to remove also any tape driver from control panel.

I can see the DLT 40/80 in the device list on the left hand side and I can see it in the top right hand box where it says blank media, but as soon as I upgrade to SP4 the DLT40/80 changes to DLT 8000 in the device list but is not seen in the top right hand box.

Check which driver is running for device. I guess there should be arcserve's one. Check with Arcserve's documentation

Aside from SP4 for Arcserve2000, have you try to use an upadate QO41394.CAZ for NT tape engine update? if not, try to use this also together with SP4.
Hope this will help.
