Backup failing

We have 4 identical proliant servers , each with a 35/70 drive
We use Seagate Backup exec

recently we are having problems on all 4 servers .
backup keeps hanging with message : "loading media " or "media unrecognized"
this morning this was the case on 3 of the 4 servers .
One of them had last month his tape drive replaced and it still keeps displaying this error .
Cleaning does regularly happen .
Please assist because our supplier has no answer to this

Veritas has a patch for versions 7.x, 8.0 and 8.5 of BackupExec to address this issue. It worked for me on my v7.3 systems. You can download it from http://support.veritas.com/menu_ddProduct_BEWNT.htm.
