Blue screen with StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools
I've installed some month ago the 4.2.1.0 version of the HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools, to keep an eye on a C1555-67203 tape we have on a PC with Win 2003 Server standard edition with service pack 1.
For a while it operated well, but a month ago it started signaling a blue screen with the title:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and talking about the mraid35x.sys.
This happened every time I start the tool, while scanning the pc for divices.
I've uninstalled it and re-installed, and it worked again for 3-4 weeks, then started again to do it.
I suppose it may be tied with some automatic download of patches or similar, but I'm not sure. Probably is not, because should it be that a patch makes it crash, the problem would have been started not so long after the re-installation.
Could you help me?

Were there any odd errors/failures in the backup operation before LTT resulting in the blue screen? Or Was LTT started for preventative maintenance?
Also, all non-sp2 systems running applications other than Tivoli require updated Storport.sys KB891793 (minimum) or KB916048 (recommended); systems running Tivoli require Storport.sys KB901371. All sp2 systems are required to run Storport.sys KB932755.
We would suggest running a hardware scan in Device Manager in the event of backup failure before starting LTT. It would ensure that the host has the correct status of the device (ready or offline).

No, no errors or failures before using the LTT, I usually open it to erase the tapes when they're near to full. This is the only use I have of the LTT.
I'll check the hardware next time I try to open the software, I still haven't installed the most recent version because in this period the server is too bsy to be stopped, even just for the substitution of the program...
