C1537 Dat24 different tape units
server running Redhat linux.
The device i've pulled out is labelled C1537-00625 Revision 3725 Unit
ID 0118913-9804306601 Label Part Id: 3702377-01
My main concern is to find an identical unit, so that i won't have to
modify server's configuration.
I found that many C1537-xxxxx models exists, so i'm not sure if any
C1537 will do or i'll have to specifically find a C1537-00625. By the
way any idea where i could find a pdf manual or at least jumper
configuration for this drive?
Thanks in advance

Re: C1537 Dat24 different tape units
So it should be ok to get the drive with the same product number.

Re: C1537 Dat24 different tape units
I've just read that C1555 model should be identical to C1537. Can anybody confirm this?
Thanks again, Lorenzo

Re: C1537 Dat24 different tape units
Usualy all are compatible because based on DDS3 technology

Re: C1537 Dat24 different tape units
I would think as long as the drive calls itself C1537A from a SCSI perspective and has firmware L111, or L411 (recent release earlier this year for a reliability defect in drives built in '01), then you should be good to go.
That's assuming the drive you already have calls itself C1537A from a SCSI perspective and has firmware L111 on it.
The above link is for a partsurfer search of DAT24. You can also search on DDS-3 and even C1537A to find more parts.
