C1537A DD3 drive firmware

I have to upgrade firmware of my DDS3 drive( c1537A).
but, I can't find correct firmware.

where can i look for firmware of the DDS3?

Q2)
how can i upgrade firmware on hpux11.0?

I'm not sure where you can tape drive firmware. Generally I leave this to the CE when a drive is replaced.

I'm assuming you have a HPUX 11 system but you don't state what model hardware. I'm fairly sure they all the same in case.
Installing firmware for your CPU is done by interrupting the boot sequence. The full instructions on how it is done is supplied with the firmware.

I agree with Michael. I'm not sure you can. I have never had to upgrade firmware in a tape drive internal to a machine.

Is this tape drive a single drive or is it in a tape library? Why do you think you need to upgrade the firmware?

If you have a hardware support contract, call the vendor and get them to do it.

This is the only place I can find that has tape drive firmware, and I'm not sure this is what you need anyway. As Patrick has stated if you have a support contract get them to upgrade the firmware. Are you sure that you need to do this?

Here is an easy way to find the current firmware revision. As an example, on some of my systems that have a DDS 3 drive the revision is 4.110

It would be much easier for you if you could connect it to a windows pc/server - F/ware updates through Storage Works LTT are more user friendly :)

You can upgrade the firmware on the Tape Drive using LTT which is available for installation on HPUX. The URL that you need is:

http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html

LTT will then identify the correct firmware for your drive, and allow you to download it.
