C6379A compatibility issue
I need some help......Have an rp2470 running HP-UX 11.11....cannot configure the DLT8000 racked in a 5300 enclosure to my server. IOSCAN shows nothing..even though it is connected. All lights Mean and Green....any thoughts ? I know the port is fine...can connect my DVD to it and IOSCAN sees it.....but not the Tape drive.....Tape drive is good when coneected to other server.

You need another HBA.

The controller is Ultra2 - not HVD!
If you are using a HVD drive, you must use a HVD controller too.

FWD is aka HVD, Ultra, ultra2 and some others are LVD.
The difference is in fact 2 Volt and this can burn your devices.
You need to use a HVD/FWD SCSI HBA.
I hope we have a solution now and none of the devices are damaged.
