CB II fails to execute or hangs

Why does CBII fail to start? Why does CBII hang after copying only 4MB of a 9GB bu job? Environment is W98se on P2 333, SCSI attached HP SureStore T20e with CBII ver 8. This is an old mature install. Backup job has been running successfully for two years. About six months ago tape drive failed and was replaced.

High there,

I had the same problem and the following solution helped:

Evertime before I make a new backup, I delete the Cache Directory of Netscape and the backup runs through.
