I have a ESL9322 tape lib, which is displaying
FW mismatch on the LTO 2 tape drives, even although they all are at the same level.
They were recently updated using LTT.
See PIC

Solution
The right way to upgrade a drive in the library connected with CV is to use CV for the upgrade, doing so, it will keep a trace of the actions, and check for consitency.
When CV upgrade a FW, a flag is set in a database, and this will indicate that the drive has been flashed correctly with the right fw.
When you use ltt to upgrade a drive FW the flag in the database is not set, so you will receive the mismatch error
Solution is to flash again the drive from CV even if it is already at the right level. This usualy set correctly the flag and remove the warning message

Re: CVTL states tape drive FW mismatch
Thanks Marino, will try this at the next maintenance interval.
