according to the matrix, it seems depending on the backup application softwares, if I use OmniBack II, can this make it possible?

Hello,

You can use the 818 under HP/UX without any problems. Just don't use ARCServeIT, use OmniBack. Or else use fbackup or anything :-) . We have a customer having an 818 under HP/UX without any problems.
