Can we connect a HP DLT Tape drive on a Compaq RAID controller

Hi,

Customer Server model is "HP DL380 G3". He is connected a HP DLT Tape Drive (LVD) to the below RAID controller and the tape drive is not detected on the Server.

"Compaq Computer Corporation Smart Array 64x controllers "

My question is, Can we connect the HP DLT Tape drive on a RAID controller ? Is it supported ?

It would be great if somebody respond to this thread ASAP...

The 641/642 raid controller(s) support the folowing Hot Plug Tape Drives - AIT100/200, 50/100, 35/70; DAT 20/40.

You mean the HP DLT tape drives are not supported on Compaq 64X RAID controllers ?

or

They should work fine with RAID controllers as well. ?
