Re: Cannot download Driver Autoloader 1/8 G2
This is a bit strange:
HBA Model: Smart Array P212 Controller
Devices Connected: 0
...
Host Bus Adapter 'HpCISSs2 SCSI Adapter' at Address '3/7.255.0'
Tape 'HP Ultrium 6-SCSI' at Address '3/7.1.0'
Media_Changer 'HP 1x8 G2 AUTOLDR' at Address '3/7.1.1'
What firmware version does the P212 have?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Cannot download Driver Autoloader 1/8 G2
Consider to update the driver
and the firmware (6.64)
You updated the driver already, not the firmware.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Cannot download Driver Autoloader 1/8 G2
Could you do a scrennshot of device manager using the option "by connection" with the loader visible?
What kind of cable is between server and loader - any partno. visible?
I assume you use a 1-to-4 fanout cable to connect the loader and the other drive. You should have a 1-to-1 SAS cable delivered with the loader - just try this cable.
For your reference here are the quickspec of the lib:

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Cannot download Driver Autoloader 1/8 G2
Hello,
In attached file the view of device manager.
I used this type of cable between the server and the Autoloader: http://www.allwaytech.com/catalog/images/large/021617_SAS-CX4-SFF8470-L20.jpg

Re: Cannot download Driver Autoloader 1/8 G2
Inside the loader is the LTO-6, but where is the LTO-5?
Somehow I doubt the loader is connected to the P212, but to a different controller?
Is there any other SAS controller installed in the server?
This is a P212 - single external connector:

EDIT:
Is the LTO-5 internal in your server?
Just try to disconnect it and test.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Cannot download Driver Autoloader 1/8 G2
Just for testing - open the server (shutdown first) and disconnect the SAS cable to the LTO-5 from the controller.
If this doesn't help - it could be a problem with your backup software. From all the connection/driver/firmware view it looks ok and doesn't show an issue. According to LTT the system "knows" the LTO-6 belongs to the autoloader.
You can use LTT and perform an assessment test with the LTO-6. If this works, all the hardware is OK.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
