Cannot see autoloader on LAN
I have an ultrium 920 autoloader and I am not able to see it on the RMI. I have given the autoloader and the server the same IP address and both of them are on the same subnet mask.
What do I need to do so I can see the autoloader

Re: Cannot see autoloader on LAN
Hi,
If you really have "...given the autoloader and the server the same IP address..." then you will more than likely be having problems. IP addresses must be unique !
Cheers,
Rob

Re: Cannot see autoloader on LAN
Oops... sorry about the same IP address thingy... What I meant was that both of them have unique IP address and are on the same subnet mask...

Re: Cannot see autoloader on LAN
1. The computer that I am trying to access the Autoloader from are on the same IP class and network...
2. I cannot ping the Autoloader....
3. I cannot access the Autoloader from another computer on the network...
4. The LAN LED's on the Autoloader are: (1) is on steady orange, (1) is flashing green....
5. My Windows firewall is disabled...I am routing through a PIX firewall on my network but I have other devices on my network with the same IP class and subnet as the Autoloader and I can ping them fine....
6. I can ping other servers on the same switch as the Autoloader...
