Re: Colorado Backup II Version 8 and Version 9.1 compatibility?
You can get the Win2000 drivers from here:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/software/win2kdrivers.exe.html
Just be aware that externals have restore issues in Windows2000 using the backup applet.
I don't think we've ever charged for the drivers, just the software......
..... and finally. I am afraid that Colorado Backup II is now discontinued
cheers,
John

Re: Colorado Backup II Version 8 and Version 9.1 compatibility?
John,
I'm afraid you seem to be missing the original point here.
The question was about restoring Version 9 backups on a version 8 machine.
This does not work.
Adding Win2K drivers to a Version 8 machine also does not work.
My follow-up point is that I was "forced" to buy new software to use my backup drive when I upgraded to Win2K which, as you admit, is not free.
I'm sure you'll agree that free drivers that do not work on the software is not much of an offer IMHO.

What did I do with those minutes??
