Colorado External 20GB Parallel Tape Drive
When load the software and drivers for this device, and the tape drive is attached to the parallel port, the floppy drive no longer works. When my operating system was NT 4 a HP Techican help me by modifing the registry the value i had was local Computer, system, control set 001, services, epatapnt, parameters, device value /shared/de/db/dp/di/ni, I have now upgrade the laptop to windows 2000 professional and I find the value to set in the registry. My laptop is an IBM Thinkpad A20 series.

Re: Colorado External 20GB Parallel Tape Drive
May be of little consolation, but someone else has had similar problems. see http://bizforums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x5bf46c96588ad4118fef0090279cd0f9,00.html
