Colorado Tape Backup T1000e

This is a unit that I have had from back in the days of Window 3.

I found out the hard way that it won't function on NT but will it operate on XP ???

Unless you have some data on tape to recover it would probably be better to use a DVD writer - they have gotten pretty cheap and are much faster and more reliable.

Re: Colorado Tape Backup T1000e

Thanks for your help. I do have some old tapes with some data on it.

I was suprised to find a section in the HP forums that delt with tape drives so I thought that I'd ask the question.

This will be probably turn out to be more trouble than it's worth.

Re: Colorado Tape Backup T1000e

Hi James -

There is a tape drive forum, but this message ended up in the B&W printers forum. You might have better luck in the tape forum at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=198
