Compaq AIT 100 GB
I have installed the Compaq AIT 100 GB on the server. The tape driver is not available ( absent ) in the Compaq SCSI Smart Array S32.
Anyone have an idea ?

Re: Compaq AIT 100 GB
You cannot connect a tape drive to the Smart Array. You need a plain old SCSI card.
Good luck,
Vince

Re: Compaq AIT 100 GB
Ok...
HUm... I think that I have posted the wrong question :) Sorry ... I was thinking that the Scsi Smart array S32 was the problem...
So...
What can I do, if the drive don't see my 100gb tapes? ( The drive see only 35gb tapes... ) but I have 100 gb "native" tapes!
Veritas tech's has said that the drive could not be installed correctly. In the Microsoft Management Console, i see the Compaq 100 AIT gb but I have a big "red X" on it. But when I look in the Windows System, the drive is correctly installed.
Windows 2000 serveur SP3, don't see the drive as plug-and-play, I must installed it manually...
Server = ML350
Anyone can help me out?

Re: Compaq AIT 100 GB
Drivers are here: http://wwss1pro.compaq.com/support/TSSD2/details.asp?modelID=1
Try loading them this way: in Device Manager, pick List Available (I think that's what it's marked - just don't pick "Search". Then pick "Have Disk", and Browse to where you unpack the drivers you downloaded from the above link.
Otherwise, try downloading LTT from here: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html
That's HP's disgnostic software for tape.
Good luck,
Vince
