Compaq DLT 40/80 146197-b22 drive and HP-UX

Anyone know if there are any drivers for this tape drive on HP-UX 11.0 or 11v1 or 11v2. Need to read one tape from it.

are you trying to connect the DLT to an HPUX box ?
if so, when you run ioscan does the tape showup as unclaimed ?

You need to check on SAM if stape (driver) is "IN"
#sam
Then check if your tape drive is seen by OS
#ioscan -fnC tape
Check if it shows as CLAIMED and have device files installed
