Compaq Proliant ML570 DLT 40/80 Tape drive
Hi ...
I have a compaq server its model is Proliant ML570 and it has a Tape drive its model is DLT 40/80 .
this drive suddenly stops to response and its LED's continually lights and I can't eject the tape how can I resolve this problem.

I'm afraid your drive has broken.
Looks like a tape leader problem, that means nothing to you if you ever haven't opened a DLT before.
Try to power cycle your drive. If it still fails call your HW service support.

And now, if you have identified the problem as a dropped Leader, And your unit is not anymore on warranty, then read the following link to reattach the leader, just rtemember to not touch the leader with your hands
