Can a HP StorageWorks 1/8 Tape autoloader be compatible with a Dell PowerEdge 6800 server?

Franklin:
I do not see why the autoloader would not work. It is a standard SCSI device. Drop the right SCSI adaptor in the Poweredge, if needed, and connect it up. It should work just fine.

What kind of an Tape Autoloader you have is it an Ultrium 460 or an SDLT?
From , what I gather you should be able to accomodate the 1/8 autoloader. Alternatively,
click on the link below:
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/compatibility/tapebackup/ThirdParty/index.html#DELL
and if you take a look at the supported Dell Servers, the 6800 isn't listed. Also, what SCSI card are you using?
