Connecting DLt7000 2/15 to new RP7400
I have a customer who is replacing a V2600 with a new RP7420 system and wishes to continue using his old HP DLT 7000 2/15 Tape drive. I see that it uses HVD SCSI but haven't been able to determine a SCSI adapter that would be supported under HP-UX to connect properly. Does anyone have any sugestions or pointers to the best way to accomplish this??
Thanks

John,
Following cable should do the trick:
68-pin HD/VHDCI LVD SCSI cable kit 168048-B21
best regards,
Kurt

Hi John, I think that an A4800A would do the trick for you, that is a single channel HVD pci card

Re: Connecting DLt7000 2/15 to new RP7400
John,
you need a FWD card either the A4800A or the A5159A, the A4800A (single port) is no longer listed for the rp74x0 servers, however, the A5159A is listed as a supported SCSI HBA.
this is a dual port FWD SCSI card with VHDCI connectors.
Regards
Bernhard
