Converting a HP Tape Drive

hi all

i have a - HP STORAGEWORKS DAT 72 36/72GB TAPE DRIVE ARRAY MODULE and i was wondering is it possible to convert it into a Hot-Plug Tape drive to fit into a ML370 or ML350 server?

Not that I know of. There are certain firmware revisions etc put into configuring a hotplug druve... but if you are doing this to connect the device on the smart array card, consider getting a PCI card for the Proliant server. SCSI has plug and play ability to a certain extent, in that if you power off the drive while (windows) OS is running it should see the device as offline.

Also; you can use the trade in program to swap your drive for a hotplug if that is really what you want
