DAT40 connected to AIX
Hi, I was trying to connect my external dds4 drive to my aix machine because aix was stated as a supported os. However, I just couldn't get it to work (even with tar). I kept getting "i/o error" messages. I couldn't find a troubleshooting guide for this item and there is no driver on HP's web site. Is there anything to do with the dip switches under the drive? Pls advice. Thanks.

Hello,
Look at this link and try the IBM RS6000 switchs settings:
