DAT40 external tape drive got error during verify

Hi,

I bought a new DAT40e (C5687C) tape drive and I found error during backup verify. Only brand new DDS-4 (C5718A) tape media got no error, but when used once, same error occurs.

What is the problem and how to resolve it?

Have a look at the backup application log why the error appear, it may be the file has been updated by the system and then obviously, the saved one will not match the one in the server.
Also you can run several test with L&TT in order to identify hardware errors or tape problems
