DAT72 and StorageWorks Data Protector keeps rebooting
Hi,
I have a MS Windows XP with a RAID 1 with two S-ATA disks and a USB DAT72 tapedrive and Storageworks data protector software. I have made a disaster recovery CD and a backup on a tape. Now I tested the backup. I use the CD and boots it. The PC restarts 4-5 times and then it starts reading on the tape. It precesses the tape (about 11.000 files) and then it asks me to reboot. I reboot. The windows logo appears and the I see the glimse og a blue screen and then the PC reboots. What can I do?
Regards, martin Jensen.

Re: DAT72 and StorageWorks Data Protector keeps rebooting
Is the Tape drive in OBDR mode still when you are rebooting after the "The windows logo appears and the I see the glimse of a blue screen"??
It may be trying to re-install the trace info from the tape.
What server is the drive connected to?
Are there any other USB devices conencted and powered on?
Are you using a PCI USB 2.0 controller?

No, the tapedrive is not i OBDR mode at all. I am using a PC with Windows XP.
It may be trying to re-install the trace info from the tape.
I don't think so, since it is finished loading from the tape.
What server is the drive connected to? It a PC
Are there any other USB devices conencted and powered on? Yes, but what have that to do with a faulty reboot?
Are you using a PCI USB 2.0 controller? No, pure integrated USB. It is a new PC.
