DEC DLT 2000 Drive

Hi,

I have a DEC DLT 2000 15/30Gb tape drive. WHenever I put a DLTIII tape in the drive - it says that it is write protected, even though the tape isn't write protected. Am I doing something wrong ? could there be a problem with the tape or the drive ? any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If That's really a DLT2000XT, I think you need to use a DLT IIIXT, or change the density (device or device driver). A DLT III has a capacity of 10/20GB.
