DLT 7000 1/8 External Tape

Hi,

I was using my DLT 7000 on a HP UX OS and all it´s working fine. Today I bought a new backup solution for a HP UX server and I need to do other use for this DLT. I need to install this DLT on a Windows 2003 server with a Adaptec SCSI Ultra 160 adapter. My question is, it´s possible to install this DLT on a windows 2003, because when I run the OS, nothing appear to install the driver and when I go to the Device Manager nothing appear there, on OmniBack software, I can´t add any device. I was try to do this on a windows 2000 server too and I get the same problem.

Could you help me?

AFAIR this library can be configured to SE- or FW-SCSI.
Make sure you switch to SE-SCSI if you connect it to an Ultra HBA.
After this you should see the devices at least in the device manager and while the server is doing POST.

OK, I thought it is another box.

Your lib is HVD SCSI, so this cannot work with an ultra scsi controller.

I'm pretty sure you will see a sticker with "HVD" on it on the back of this box.
