DLT External Tape drive question

I have acquired a 15/30 Compaq DLT External drive with 2 SCSI inputs on the back, I have the cables to go somewhere. I have a Proliant 1600 6/350 PII with only 68pin outputs from Adeptec UW PCI SCSI card - How do I get to hook this tape drive up when there are no 50pin(Printer type) inputs to the server?

Thx Rad

Re: DLT External Tape drive question

Hi,

You need an adapter cable 68->50 pin.

Hi,

Here you can see how they look like.

Remember that if this is the only device on your external cable then one of the SCSI sockets on the back of the drive will require a SCSI Terminator plug.
