DLT1 on NT4, only 8MB's a minute transfer!
I have 2 new DLT1 external drives on a Compaq ML570 Server running NT 4.0 and ARCServe v6.6. (only one drive is connected at a time but I've tried both)The drives have the latest firmware and both work on a similar test server at the proper speed (6-8MB/s). HP Tape Tools run without any errors on both servers (test & production)but also very slowly with any read/write tests on the Production one. If I attach a DLT 40/80 to the production server it runs very fast so it's not a problem with our hardware not keeping up with the drives. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: DLT1 on NT4, only 8MB's a minute transfer!
Hello,
In difference to the DLT40/80 drives, DLT1s require a block size of 64k, as opposed to 32k for the DLT40/80.
HTH,
Vince

Thanks, could you refresh my memory on where the block size is changed in the registry?
