DLT40/80 and Library 8/16 (how to exchange tapes between them)?

DLT40/80 and Library 8/16 (how to exchange tapes between them)?

How can i use tapes that haven used by the library, use in my DLT40/80? When a tape is used in the DLT40/80 it is nog recognized by the library, the other way around also doesn't work. Does anybody know an solution for this?

which kind of tape drive did you have in this library?
DLT1 and DLT VS are not compatible with dlt 40/80
