DLT7000/TZ89N Loader/Library only drive

Is there any way to convert this drive to work as an internal tape drive.

There are a few different ways DLT drives are embedded in libraries.

1) Some remove the front panel, whereas others retain it.

2) Some remove the drive handle and replace it with either a side lever or a motor to drive the hub.

If your particular drive has a front panel, and it has a handle or lever you can operate to engage/disengage the hub, there shouldn't be any reason you can't use it as a standalone drive.
