Data Protector unload tape problems

Hi,

We are running data protector 5.5 and sometimes have problems when unloading tapes.
If the original slot that a tape was selected from is now occupied by another tape, the backup will fail when trying to unlaod the tape. Is there a way for the tape to unloaded to another slot without the backup failing?

No. Because of that, you should ensure to not load a tape where the loaded into the drive was.

Is there somebody who is switching tapes in the library during the backup jobs?

Re: Data Protector unload tape problems

The backup is now taking a very long time to finish which means that when we refill the unit, the script that moves the tapes to free slots is using the one that the original backup had occupied.
